With a melody snatched from the Bulgarian folk-pop dance of chalga, Stefan Goldmann turns in another idiosyncratic release for Macro. The title-track, ‘Adem’, hears the eastern European melody alongside precision-cut percussion and some heavy bounce. ‘Rigid Chain (Dub Mix)’ and ‘Shallow Grave’ take the same lead with Goldman throwing in some surprises along the way.
