Heavily textured compositions from Mike Shiflet and Type, who follows up his recent ‘Sufferers’ release with a limited vinyl edition of ‘Merciless’. A name we’re used to seeing collaborating with the likes of Pete Swanson and Daniel Menche, Shiflet garners such respect no doubt because of the thoughtful way in which he adapts preconceived approaches to noise, a balancing act that hears moments of pure contemplation alongside more testing moments of assertive potency.
