Maria Minerva puts in a stellar effort, reworking ‘Whaddya Mean By That’, in that lo-fi way only she knows how. Man-of-the-moment, Actress, disjoints the hell out of ‘Perfection’ with a wonderfully drugged-up and broken refix. Meanwhile, Alva Noto turns in an 80s inspired machine monster, Leyland Kirby surprises with a deliciously burnt and bleached sunkissed number, leaving things to Tim Hecker, who stays true to his signature touch with a multi-layered piece of guitar fuzz and drone.
