Returning to the Left Blank imprint in anticipation of his forthcoming release on Tri Angle, the Bristolian producer, Vessel, scores an ace with three tracks of deviant slowed-down house and refigured techno. There are nods to Moodymann on the soulful beatdown number, ‘Merge’, yet the general execution is one of tangled distortion. Elsewhere, things get even more misconstrued with a murky array of corrosive drums and garbled excess on ‘Zero’.
