For a group with such a combustible sound and aesthetic New York dance-punks !!! have enjoyed an honorable longevity as a unit. This year’s Let It Be Blue was their eighth LP for longtime label Warp, and it punches quite well against any contenders in their oeuvre. !!! is now ending their year with a neat little remix package. Pittsburgh Track Authority runs the title track through a nu-disco filter, relaxing the nervous energy of the original into a luxurious mid-tempo thump while adding some lovely piano house runs, too. Acido Pantera takes a similar route, pulling out the thunderous kicks on the Angelica Garcia-assisted ‘Un Puente’ in favor of something with a little lighter touch.
