Red Rack’em AKA Danny Berman presents the third release from his home-grown Bergerac imprint. A side, ‘If Only the Past’, is a sun-scorched peaktime number with pounding percussion and the kind of deep bubbling bassline that gets dance floors moving in unison. On the flip, ‘Alone Always’ is an off-kilter jack-out, Kenny Dixon Junior on DMT hearing funked-out drums weaving amidst raw bass lines. Closing track, ‘Right (All Night)’, leavens things out with a square shard of dark and muscular techno.
