Bleep

A collaboration from Liz Harris of Grouper fame and Jesy Fortino of Tiny Vipers, Mirroring, is a dreamy and redolent collection of fragile songs. Shedding layers of gossamer, ‘Foreign Body’ slowly unwinds with sparse vocals, reverb and delicate instrumentation including picked guitar lines and keys. Layers of tape hiss and subtle distortion come reminiscent of Harris’ work as Grouper but to dissect the elemental parts of the album is to ignore the depth and density of this genuinely beautiful piece of work.
