What begins as a heartfelt ode replete with piano keys and delicate vocals soon gives way to blistering acid rage, putting the No Fun label head Carlos Giffoni's 'no rules' philosophy well into practice. Contrasts are wide and dense, Giffoni's monotone vocals distinguishing themselves starkly against the relentless direction of the caustic acid leads. It suggests something altogether more strange and exotic. Laurel Halo guest appears with some touches on the keyboard, the final surprising element in what is an astonishingly distinct record.
