Following his contribution to the Brabuhr Q-Ih compilation opening AD 93 sublabel Lith Dolina, Bot1500 makes his debut proper with his Surreal LP. Furthering his descent into subtlety, Bot1500 combines the restlessness of breakbeats and club rhythms with the mystical hush of ambience, revelling in a hypnagogic strain of electronica. Synth waves lap on the opening ‘Pearl’ tracks, setting the scene emotive soundscapes and the soft four to the floor of organic beats, while ‘Crimson 6’ explodes with a stomping rhythm and crystallised sequences dancing as they flow into each other.
