Stones Throw capture in their tide a new album of psychedelic dub x hip-hop from Washed Out with Mister Mellow. Continuing his transition towards a less "band-driven sound" as first explored on his records for Mexican Summer and Weird World, Mister Mellow expels a lush, sun-drenched sound across a multimedia album experience that carries an existential undercurrent.

Guiding us through his world, Washed Out turns to the "classic millennial fashion" of young adults trapped within the prism/prison of distraction via social media, drugs and fantasy whilst viewing the world they inhabit within an over-dramatized to the point of absurd view point. In doing so he turns in some seriously cosmic gear that moves from jazzy free range numbers to brilliantly spun out psych and future classic Stones Throw hip-hop, and catapults Mister Mellow right to the top of an already brightly shining discography.
