Following a series of key joints across a wide variety of singular projects, Rejoicer joins the high ranks of Stones Throw to project some of the most lucid visions of hip-hop and spiritual jazz as imagined through the sky-wide surroundings of his Energy Dreams.

With the album's roots stemming firmly from both jazz and the Tel Aviv hip-hop scene of which Rejoicer is very much a central component of, as an artist and curator he has flown the flag for the scene with his excellent Raw Tapes label which is widely regarded as the home to Israel’s own unique beat movement. Yet his world-class skill of chopping breaks and beats was first ignited and realised during a stint in the mid-2000's as a jungle/DNB DJ. This was sharply followed by a slowing down of the tempo while he tracked movements into hip-hop with a killer series of beat tapes under the Guadaloop moniker.

Since his early days of skillfully switching between fast-paced drum breaks in both the beats and DNB scenes, Rejoicer has gone onto released more than 20 albums under all different aliases, yet his dream scenario connection with Stones Throw sees him raise the game tenfold. Drawing on the most spirited aspects of psychedelia, Energy Dreams is a truly uplifting experience, it's keen ear for melody and song structure sits Rejoicer somewhere between the jazz-funk/fusion of Thundercat and Badbadnotgood, yet the beats flow with such a sun-soaked warmness that they are sure to please even the most-fair weathered L.A. beat scene connoisseurs.

Energy Dreams is an album that is sure to sit perfectly alongside the great Stones Throw pillars from Oh No, Madlib, Ras G and Samiyam, but make no mistake, Rejoicer may draw influence from those that have come before him, yet the way in which he submits the hip-hop via jazz style to wax lands with a sense of style, substance and most importantly super fresh sound that is entirely his own.
