Installments in the Shangaan Shake series continue to surprise time and time again. Next up is a particularly exciting contribution from Demdike Stare and Hype Williams. Demdike take a detached and distressing take on the hard-to-recognise original, levelling it underneath tribal percussion and contorting the vocals into a sacrificial chant, a haunting version of its former self. Hype Williams meanwhile sound as dazed and confused as ever, Inga Copeland's vocals trapped in a cavity of echo and reverb, a thinly spread rhythm unwinding in a loose and seductive manner.... Highly recommended.
