With his second album for AD 93, Dylan Henner expands on the serenity and experimentation of his ambient pieces as well as their existential themes, as You Always Will Be tracks a life from birth to death. Like memories in the making, entrancing marimba and woodwind passages are superimposed over recordings of family and nature stitched throughout. ‘A New Living Being…’ is an act of choral splendour, opening with rippling harmonious vocals transformed into beams of light, while the jagged edged plucks of ‘My Heart Is Slowing Down…’ add anxiety to its oneiric atmosphere.
