Here’s another early example of Dominick Fernow’s early prowess and penchant for erupting dark ambient music into the realm of geopolitical conflict. Released on tape in the months following Osama Bin Laden’s capture by the US Army, his 2011 Vatican Shadow release Pakistan Military Academy takes the form of four extended tone poems, cutting and gluing a sort of news report bricolage of militaristic industrial marches, ascendent ambient passages, and firmly far-left of centre techno.
