During the month of October 2011, in his apartment in Reykjavik, Iceland, Olafur Arnalds created and instantly released a song for every day of that admittedly eventful month. Recorded and filmed live in his living room, the songs were then hastily made available as a digital download or a streamed video and now seven choice recordings make their debut on Erased Tapes. As befits the context of the material, Arnald's compositions are suitably warm and inviting, laid-bare and natural and often exultant in their attitude.
