The dubstep mecca that is Bristol, does its fellow bass obsessives proud by flying the flag for truly innovative sounds that reach out to unexplored territories yet stay true to the roots of a often misunderstood sub-culture. On the A-side, 'I Remain' is an icy slab of contemplation, hovering ominously down on the low end. B-side, 'Noboru' meanwhile is sparse and stark, an underground cavern of reverb and pressure that shows how the confines of the City of Bristol have more in common with the stark minimalism of Raster Noton and the like than you would imagine.
