The final album to surface from Lee 'Scratch' Perry’s Black Ark studio due to its then imminent destruction, ‘he Return of Pipecock Jackxon', gets a timely reissue from Honest Jon's. Originally released in 1980, the album finds Perry in a tense moment of his life in light of developments at Black Ark and in his own personal life, but as with much art of the highest calibre, the lowest times breed the most enlightening creativity. A true reggae visionary.
