New York experimental multidisciplinary artist Daniela Lalita debuts on the Young label with her first EP entitled Trececerotres. A sonic tribute to her childhood in Peru, the title references the apartment she grew up in, while the songs contained within celebrate the relationship between mother and daughter, and grandmother at that. The haunting early single ‘Pisoteo’ was written while Lalita cared for her grandmother battled (and survived) cancer, but death and loss still lingers when the anvil-heavy drops and screeching tension on ‘Atrás’ point to something far more macabre than deconstructed club.
