Arctic Monkeys reunite with Simian Mobile Disco’s James Ellis Ford once again for their 7th LP for Domino Records entitled The Car. Though normally prone to reinvention upon each new full length, The Car sees the Sheffield-bred foursome in more of a refinement mood, revisiting some of the somber, more delicate tones of 2018’s critically acclaimed Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino. Far from a shallow retread, this new LP takes the band to thrilling new places while never betraying the tremendous songwriting and near-telepathic musicality Alex Turner and company have hung their hat on for well over a decade.
