Among some of their earliest material as a duo, Elemental 7 presents ritualistic audiovisual variety with Chris & Cosey folding in influences of cinematic ambience, industrial, and electro alongside longtime collaborator John Lacey. Beginning with tolling bells and submerged, ghostly voices of passerby on ‘Temple Bar’, this episodic soundtrack tells tales of London’s ancient stone gates, sonic seances, fireside drumming and esoteric chants. ‘Dancing Ghosts’ is immersive with echoing drum machines for groovy spectres, while ‘The Final Calling’ banishes an “unwanted entity” with lacerating electro beats and gnarly guitar shreds.
