From the expansive catalogue of Muslimgauze comes a reissue of his 1996 album Chechnya Over Dub, originally included on the Fatah Guerrilla compilation and now on vinyl for the first time. Full of transformative works and mercurial loops, Chechnya Over Dub is perhaps one of the artist’s more accessible releases focussing on bouncing dub rhythms interspersed with stuttering tablas vocals. ‘Under The Influence Of Kolera’ is almost plunderphonic in its delivery, constantly shifting with a technological hum lying underneath. ‘Girl In A Red Turban’ meanwhile features jagged strums and a pumping, labyrinthine house beat in 7/8 time
