Ten years on from the enigmatic Swedish band’s unique debut album, Goat release a remastered edition of their breakthrough World Music. As much as their occultist mythology borders on the absurd, there is an enticingly accessible pop bent to World Music’s wild energy. Psychedelic licks cover the album, voiced by raw, unfettered vocals yelling over even rawer metallic guitar wails. The motivational intro to ‘Goatman’ channels the spirit of togetherness, rolling into churning hand drums and funky guitar screeches, while the fuzz of ‘Goathead’ borders on harsh noise, building in epic intensity.
