Legendary Detroit techno don John Beltran reignited his long dormant Placid Angels moniker last year for an acclaimed LP entitled Touch The Earth. With over 30 years in the business, Beltran has amassed a long list of contemporaries, collaborators, and friends from many eras, and this new remix collection shows off a few. Planet Mu boss µ-Ziq turns ‘Beauty Begins With Us’ into liquid jungle, while lo-fi house head Baltra goes nearly Balearic with his take on ‘Our Love Is The Place’. Beltran himself closes out Touch The Earth Remixes with a fresh hand drum assisted take on ‘When The Sun Shines Through’.
