Fashion and arts collective Sports Banger debuted the first release on their label HERAS Records in 2020 with Neil Landstrumm’s Doberman EP. Two years later, they finally drop the followup: a set of heavy hitting electro tracks from COOP, a cooperative project featuring Mat Playford, Special Request, and label founder Jonny Banger. ‘Wearing It Wrong’ opens the EP with pummelling kicks and growling basslines, testament to the collective’s rave philosophy. Lightning synths oscillate and scribble over ‘Even Out’, and ‘Lightweights’ turns the heat up even further with coarse and corroded synths layered over a bouncy, moody beat.
