The legendary writer, arranger, and producer Charles Stepney has hundreds of credits for the likes of Minnie Ripperton and Earth, Wind & Fire, but he never released a solo album before his death in 1976. Five decades later, the tape recordings of Step on Step finally see the light of day, organised and narrated by Stepney’s three daughters.
