Intoxicating post-industrial drone masterpiece by Coil’s John Balance and Thighpaulsandra with guiding vocals from his mother, the opera singer Dorothy Lewis.

Originally released on limited CD on mother’s day in 2000 the release displays a strangely welcoming and warmer side to Coil’s work. Influences from experimental German musicians like Tangerine Dream as well as the cerebral voyages of Brian Eno’s ambient series. Despite the decades between releases, similarities can be found in contemporary musicians such as Eleh’s arresting minimal drone and Jon Hopkins recent Music For Psychedelic Therapy.

This transient, dreamlike recording reflects Coil’s more minimal endeavours, however the experience proves to be one of the most intense.
