Ten years on from his original Recomposed release, Max Richter returns to the world of Vivaldi with new performances reinterpreting the composer’s masterpiece work The Four Seasons. With violinist Elena Urioste and the Chineke! Orchestra on gut-stringed period instruments and Richter on Moog synths, the compositions reach an even higher emotional vibrancy. Warmth flows through the dawn chorus of chirping strings and golden basses, heat creeps in the traipses of harpsichords and steam whistling high pitched solos, and the beauty of the natural world is reflected throughout the colourful renditions of The New Four Seasons.
