Ireland’s Detboi lands on the recently minted Over/Shadow imprint with a typically white-hot EP of Drum and Bass slammers entitled Out Of The Shadows/Into The Light. As an architect of the 90’s D&B boom, Out Of The Shadows naturally has shades of that iconic thump, Detboi folds in some tasty elements of vertigo inducing modern sound design as well. The opening title track in particular adds delicate, haunting keys to the amen break abuse in the mix to nice effect. Many years in the game, Detboi's faultless production continues to deliver.
