Arpanet’s second album originally released in 2005 on Aphex Twin and Grant Wilson-Claridge’s Rephlex label has now been remastered and reissued on Clone’s Aqualung Series, with a new track ’Superposition-Many Worlds’ recorded in the same sessions.

Gerald Donald's fascination with humankind's relationship with technology and the potential futures that lay ahead are ever present themes on Quantum Transposition. This release takes a trip deeper into the Arpanet, with shorter glimpses into colder productions often void of drums completely. On ‘Entrophic Decay’ the familiar drum programming is repeatedly filtered out before its loop is fully realised and eventually overthrown altogether. The slower tempo of the beats on these tracks offer a sense of foreboding unease and uncertainty of the landscapes for which they are searching. ‘Orbital Wavelengths’ bears a driving 4x4 pattern held for the majority of the track before abruptly breaking down altogether.

This album displays a more intricate progression in Gerald Donald’s production - an entrancing set rewarding close inspection.
