Snapped up by Big Dada after the success that was his self-titled EP on the now defunct Stuff Records, Ewan Robertson aka Offshore continues to challenge the throne of his fellow Scottish beat-making contemporaries with five varied tracks that deftly switch from the grimy roll of, 'Pepper', to the eerie hip hop swagger of, 'East Coast Capital Connect'. The real key to Offshore's sound comes however from his skill for the unique and unheard - especially evident in title track, 'Pacer', and the siren-like blasts that layer over melodic chords and percussive rhythms. Definitely a one-to-watch.
