Continuing on from the 2010 debut LP on Olde English Spelling Bee, Autre Ne Veut gives us a 4-track EP on Brooklyn's taste-making imprint, Hippos in Tanks. ANV jumps on that 90's R&B meets leftfield haze bandwagon that many others seem to be doing right now, but manages to pull it off with deft originality and finesse. This is pop music of the highest order, with superb production and arrangement, falsetto vocal delivery, brooding soundscapes and exuberant melodies. Truly unique and highly recommended!
