Matthew Herbert’s final surname-only LP is reissued here for anyone who missed the 2006 first run. His most approachable record to date (bear in mind this is an artist who made his live debut with a sampler and a bag of crisps), songs like ‘We’re In Love’ subvert their piano melodies/gorgeous sax solos with the sound of ticking clockwork, while bonus tracks offer more grounded, instrument-based versions of the originals.
