After reissuing his debut Rephlex record Welcome in 2021, Dave Monolith returns to WeMe for an album from his enigmatic Photodementia project. Almost a decade after the last Photodementia release in 2013, IMG000 provides the full spectrum that electro has to offer, from detuned retro ravers to light and woozy techno explorations. Lo-fi sighs are carried by chilling gusts of wind on ‘arrange7’, and the heartfelt progressions of ‘Garrowsdance’ move through solemnly tinged chord sweeps and cinematic synth stabs.
