The second piece to the puzzle of Electro Records’ Ezzential Electro series comes from the anonymous Transpac project. For the label’s biggest undertaking yet, Transpac provides a suitably ambitious album ranging from icily spacious ambient passages to hard hitting electro bangers. Twinkling synths map out global network connections on the opening title track ‘Telecommunication’, overtaken by robotic voices that educate the listener on the communication network the Transpac project takes its name from. ‘Videotex Online Services’ finds electronic heartbeats swimming in its evocative synthwave, and analogue synth stabs tell the stories of the hidden inner worlds of our devices on ‘Microcomputer’.
