A different direction for Jelinek on this release; those expecting to find the steeped cepia-toned warmth, then you will be pleasantly surprised. 'Tierbeobachtungen' doffs a cap to Jelinek's musical compatriot's of a previous generation, such as Michael Rother and Conny Plank. The motorik rhythms and fuzz guitar of Kraut rock are mirrored very subtly in between his signature clicks and glitches.
