Northern Ireland’s Calibre resurfaces on Craig Richards’ The Nothing Special label after a long absence with a new LP entitled Double Bend. Though more known for his drum and bass antics, Calibre has long dabbled in other genres, and his latest offers an eclectic mix of sounds and shapes. Calibre kicks things off with a punchy bit of Detroit-inspired electro on the title track before immediately pivoting to some downtempo bass heaviness.
