‘Doorway’, the opening track from Planningtorock’s excellent 2011 LP W, gets remixed three ways. CREEP’s version is eerily, uncannily beautiful. Cresting on a beat pitched somewhere between synthwave and Italo Disco, the track adds droning synths and Jam Roster’s faraway vocals to haunting effect. rRoxymore and tRuly and bAgel both deliver more dancefloor-friendly re-rubs. However, while the latter duo go for a slamming house shuffle, rRoxymore’s erratic entry is an altogether stormier affair that brings to mind some unrealised collaboration between How To Dress Well and DJ Sprinkles.
