Along with the 10th anniversary edition of her debut album The Entire City, Gazelle Twin unveils The Wastelands, a twin mini LP of previously unreleased material. Containing robust early songs with a skeletal yet evocative sound palette, The Wastelands adds to Gazelle Twin’s cinematic soundscapes, beckoning the listener further inwards with its deep forest echoes and siren wails. ‘Wastelands’ enters this strange and mystical world with ominous high pitched strings and staggered kicks, evolving into percussive debris and battling drums on ‘Ascent’ and heavily filtered choral textures on ‘I Hear You Call’.
