A pioneer of Croatian electro and founder of the Crobot Muzik label, Bojan Jascur AKA N-ter adds an infectious angle to Electro Records’ “Sci Fi Electro” series. Taking heavy inspiration from John Carpenter’s cult classic The Thing, N-Ter’s staccato synth stabs and mutating basslines convey the intense paranoia suffered by the characters throughout the film. Chilling Antarctic winds howl around driving beats, with snares that burst like plumes of breath on cold winter nights before being incinerated by growling flamethrower synths.
