After Loraine James released her stunning ambient-minded LP Whatever The Weather only a month earlier, she links up with Nervous Horizon co-runner TSVI for a buoyant and ecstatic EP on AD 93. The two merge their talents to create something totally new, expressed in rapidly inhaling percussion and the everchanging voicing of glistening pianos. ‘Gloom’ opens with a flurry of punches and metallic clashes, churning breakbeats passing like silver blades slicing through the air, held together by elevated piano chords and strings. ‘Eternal’ eviscerates and electrocutes with static shock synths and spectral vocals, and ‘Trust’ closes on a wholesome, idyllic note.
