2019’s Exist in Ramallah Festival proved to be an extremely cooperative and enlightening time for the artists, organisers, and attendees alike. Inspired in part by that spirit, the Exist staff started their own imprint (naturally) named Exist Records. In line with those ethos, their very first release is a four way split between like-minded experimentalists Drew McDowall, Muqata’a, CASKO, and Adel Poursamadi & Tegh. McDowall’s opening ‘Conceal The Wound’ brings the sort of complex synth production he helped pioneer in acts like Coil and Psychic TV, while Opal Tapes star Tegh’s beautiful team-up with Adel Poursamadi adds an orchestral flair to a wide-ranging project.
