Vinyl On Demand is back once again with a third round of vinyl reissues for the pioneering ambient project Zoviet France. This campaign focuses on the English group’s work between 1996-2013, and it is culled from compilations, albums, singles, and other ephemera from a crucial period in their development. Among those reissues is 2000’s The Decriminalisation of Country Music, a landmark record that saw Zoviet France overhaul their trademark sound in search of something a bit more accessible. The album centrepiece ‘Pyroclastic Flow’ still strays plenty far from pop music, but there is a kind of radiant beauty in its pulsations. The Decriminalisation of Country Music is now available on vinyl for the first time thanks to VOD, who have included bonus material left off its original release as well.
