Shelley Parker has undeniably built a trusted name in both the UK electronic scene recording for Hessle Audio, Honest Jon's, Houndstooth, Structure Recordings and OOH-sounds since 2001, so there’s a sense of security coming into the London producer’s second album outside of its suburbia-evoking title. Wisteria, her debut on the Hypercolour label, bubbles with jittery breaks and snarling bass without disrupting the lush, green ambience Parker builds atop it all. Layering in her own unique style a "myriad of concrete rhythms, breakbeat science, inner city ambience and industrial strength bass” to devastating effect.
