Originally released as the first album on Erol Alkan’s Phantasy Sound way back in the heady days of 2011, here we have a long overdue reissue of Connan Mockasin’s exemplary Forever Dolphin Love on colour splattered vinyl, with seven unreleased live renditions to boot. Carving out a sound which played a hand in influencing many of the more lofi orientated songwriters who followed, Forever Dolphin Love can loosely be described as psychedelic folk rock with an adventurous spirit but truly inhabits a world completely of it's own. A decade on from its first release it still sounds dreamy, hushed and warmly familiar, while also sounding absolutely fresh and unpredictable.
