50 years after their departure from Throbbing Gristle is as good a time as any to revisit the beguiling catalogue of Chris & Cosey. While the duo’s early experiments certainly bear fruit, some could say Chris & Cosey really came into power during their mid 80’s-early 90’s minimalist era. This new set of reissues on their own Conspiracy International imprint circles seeks to highlight that very point. The Remastered Reissues ‘85 - ’91 series next lands on the 1989 Play It Again Sam LP Trust. Chris & Cosey play up the eroticism in their practice here, emphasising the propulsive motion of their synths and drum machines while drawing out the agony and ecstasy of their musical and romantic partnership.
