Debut release from the unrestrained talent of Crowley-ean disciple, Konx-om-Pax. When not producing and directing videos for the likes of Hudson Mohawke and DFA, he can be found curating audible alchemy via the media of his fledgling Display Copy label. 'Optimo Tracks' are a selection taken from an installation curated by the cult, Glaswegian club of the same name; they're also the realisation of his musical influences that take subtle cues from the likes of experimental, post-metal industrialists such as Stephen O' Malley to the more historical, primitive, choral breaths of Popol Vuh. No Fun Acid's Carlos Giffoni supplies a remix of 'III', and it's ultra-vivid, Roland-abusing malevolence is a perfect accompaniment, and coda, to this impressive debut.
