South-London based musician and CURL member TONE is finally making good on the buzz from the debut mixtape with his full length debut for Rhythm Section International. Inspired by the wide reaching genres of calypso, dub, ska, and punk he heard bouncing between the UK and St. Kitts and Nevins as a child, So I Can See You blends all these sounds and more into his own sort of woozy R&B. Stretches of the record are glazed in a shoegaze-worthy haze, meant to inflect both their nocturnal recordings and the compelling beauty of TONE’s newborn daughter.
