Khruangbin and Leon Bridges continue their musical tribute to their beloved Lone Star State with another new collaborative EP entitled Texas Moon. While certainly a darker and all-around more nocturnal offering compared to the preceding Texas Sun, Khruangbin and Leon Bridges still manage to put a little more boogie influence in their country, R&B stew. Take for instance the lead single ‘B-Side’. While the lyrics ruminate on the players meeting in a dream, the band gets deep in the pocket with a sturdy funk backbeat that’s practically built for a two-step. A loving homage indeed.
