London-based imprint Balkan Vinyl continues its colour series, this time ending on Violet, the last in the six part series. First off is legendary Warp act Plaid’s deadly syncopated weapon ‘Fum’ which makes way for spaced out ambient electronica of ‘Kvarner Bar’ from Russian experimentalist Secondo. Up next are Balkan Vinyl label heads Posthuman who turn in a gloomy slice of atmospheric, Detroit-leaning techno with high precision hi-hats that cut like a surgical knife whereas Italian producer Marco Passarani contributes ‘Salty Vibes’ – a slo-mo disco mash-up drenched in groove.
