Last month, Bristol-born, London-based producer Yves Tomas released an OST, Temper, on Rekids, to widespread acclaim. Picked as a “Future Artist” on Jack Saunders’ BBC R1 show, Temper was also hailed by renowned music critic and author, Gabe Szatan, as “Beautiful – the perfect accompaniment for Autumn beginning to creep in.”

Yves switches things up a bit for System Records, delivering a fun, dance-floor banger, featuring vocals by none other than Ana Matronic of the Scissor Sisters.

Yves explains the origin here: “After hearing about the mentality at System Records, it really inspired me to try a slightly different approach in the studio. Quite often, I prioritise expressing the more edgy and moodier sides of my creativity. However, the mindset behind That Feeling was to tap into the fun and joyous sides of it. This resulted in a super speedy and fluid writing session, where I evoked a bubbling, childlike sense of almost overwhelming excitement that shoots through your body like a lightning bolt of energy and makes you dance like no one’s watching… A reaction I like to call That Feeling.”

Label co-founder Dance System adds; “Yves sent me a really early demo of this tune as a voice note on WhatsApp, back in May. As soon as I heard it, I knew it had something special. I was so surprised because It had such a joyful vibe and was a lot more dance-floor focused than his debut release on Rekids. That flute melody has kept me up at night, it’s so damn catchy! I can’t wait to see how Yves develops as an artist’.
